A native of Southern Kentucky, Zack Todd is a veteran percussion educator with over a decade of teaching experience. Serving on staff with a dozen programs across the Midwest and Southeastern United States, Zack has had the privilege of providing world class instruction to multiple state finalist and circuit champion band programs. His most recent position as Director of Percussion at Powell High School resulted in multiple high percussion trophies and a competitive placement for their indoor percussion group in Scholastic A class, which he served as the Ensemble Director for.

As a performer, Zack has performed with world class percussion ensembles Audio Theater and INOV8, where he was a founding member. He consistently performed in his university’s top ensembles, serving as the Principal Percussionist and as a soloist on multiple occasions. He also performed multiple new works for percussion with the CCM Percussion Quartet, and commissioned several new works for contemporary solo percussion.

Zack holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Western Kentucky University and a Master’s degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music. His primary teachers were Dr. Mark Berry, the PAS Hall of Fame members of Percussion Group Cincinnati (Jim Culley, Allen Otte and Rusty Burge), Jim Feist, Dave Isaacs, and Daniel Del Moro. Additional education was received from John Cypert, Daniel Allen and James Sparling.

Zack currently serves as the Front Ensemble Coordinator at Coronado High School in El Paso, TX and is on the percussion staff at Sun City Independent and Arsenal Drum and Bugle Corps.
